Exil
The exodus separates peoples and clans. Families are torn apart. Parents send their children abroad to allow them a better future. Sometimes the children succeed - often not. Gangs enrich themselves from the misery of fugitives and bring them into even worse situations. Future is not everywhere possible. Peçi’s choreography tells of shattering families, lost childhoods, abandoned mothers who are looking for meaning in the exile of their children.
Exil was created and staged by Peçi for the Festival of Origen Cultural in Switzerland 2015.
